About me

I’m Lucas Sousa, a photographer and videographer originally from Brazil, working on projects across Ireland and internationally.

My practice spans photography, video, editing, and colour grading, allowing me to stay closely involved from capture through to final delivery. I’m comfortable working independently or as part of larger teams, adapting to the needs and pace of each project.

I’ve worked on a range of commissioned projects and large public events, including TradFest Dublin and collaborations with Dublin City Council. These experiences have shaped a calm, reliable approach to working in live environments, where responsiveness and attention to detail matter.

I’m comfortable taking on both creative and practical responsibility, from shaping visual direction to delivering efficiently under time constraints. Alongside commissioned work, I’ve always been involved in creative communities. My background includes years spent around the tattoo industry and ongoing engagement with art and visual culture. I also run 32 Exposures, an exhibition project I curate that showcases photographers living and working in Ireland, creating space for dialogue, visibility, and shared practice.
